Why should I use Zigtag?

There are many reasons why you may want to use our system, as it has many useful capabilities. Here are just a few of them.
  1. Zigtag makes it easy to organize and retrieve your bookmarks in ways that your browser's built-in bookmarks manager cannot. When you create a new bookmark with Zigtag, you do so by tagging the page with keywords related to its content. If you ever want to view all the pages you have tagged regarding a particular subject, you simply enter one of your tags as a search term. Contrast this with a traditional bookmark manager in which you must create a folder for each category, and each sub-category requires a sub-folder. Deciding how to best structure these directories is a daunting task made unnecessary by Zigtag.

  2. If you tend to bookmark a lot of pages using your browser you may have found that it becomes very difficult to keep track of them all. People use different strategies to cope with this problem such as not bookmarking as many pages, deleting bookmarks from time to time, or simply living with a huge collection of favorites that is disorganized and difficult to search. With Zigtag you can bookmark as many pages as you want, you never have to delete any, and it will always remain organized and easy to search.

  3. Zigtag is not just about tagging pages, it's also about sharing and viewing others' content. You can easily see what pages your friends have been tagging as well as what sites are currently popular in the community at large. You can also browse groups and search our site by tags to find new, relevant information about specific subjects that are interesting to you. Since we use defined tags, you can be sure that your search results are relevant.
  4. Your information is kept online so it is always accessible to you. There is no need to import or export favorites when changing computers.
